Serfwerks Unveils Web Site

June 15, 2009, SALT LAKE CITY—Today Serfwerks released the first version of its long-awaited Web site. After two years of putting their clients first, Serfwerks finally hunkered down and cranked out its own Web site.

“It’s about time. For the past two years now we’ve developed numerous client Web sites without have one of our own.” said Nate Gibby, Serfwerks co-founder. “Our goal is to not just tell our clients how to market themselves, but to show them. This site is one of the first steps in doing so.”

The first iteration of the site includes information about the company’s services and philosophy, including Flash-based portfolios and case studies. As the site grows, it will become a resource of marketing information and case studies. It will also allow Serfwerks’ clients and other visitors to exchange ideas and information to help them improve their marketing practices.

Serfwerks Re-designs Interface for Clyde Companies LMS

May 21, 2009, OREM, UTAH—Today Clyde Companies, parent company of Geneva Rock, Sunroc, WW Clyde and several other heavy construction companies, released the newest iteration of its award-winning learning management system, the interface of which was designed by Serfwerks.

The re-designed LMS features updated supervisor controls, and improved navigation and other features that improve the accessibility to information. Serfwerks designed the interface of the new LMS and implemented the programming necessary for the system to perform as intended within the constraints of its content management system.

The LMS provides Clyde Companies’ employees with professional and personal development management services including web-based training, electronic pay stubs, customized development plans and more.

LibraryWorld Chooses Serfwerks for Display

May 15, 2009, MURRIETA, CALIF—Today Serfwerks announced that it has retained by San Jose, Calif.-based LibraryWorld to design the graphics for the display to be used in its upcoming trade shows. After completing a re-brand of the fast-growing library automation services provider, Serfwerks will develop the display to match the new brand. Library World provides web-based library automation systems to more than 15,000 libraries in the United States and Canada.

Jeff Themm Hired as Serfwerks’ Director of Business Development

April 1, 2009, MURRIETA, CALIF—Today Serfwerks announced that it has hired Jeff Themm as its director of business development. Looking to improve its efforts in recruiting new business, Serfwerks sought to find a seasoned sales professional who understood the marketing and design process. As a member of Serfwerks’ board of directors, Themm has been involved with Serfwerks on some level since its founding. He also brings more than a decade of sales expertise having worked for companies such as Xerox and Property Pages, the San Jose-based real estate publication.

Serfwerks Catalyst to AGC Award for Clyde Companies

March 6, 2009, SALT LAKE CITY—Clyde Companies, parent company of several of the largest heavy construction companies in the Intermountain West, announced today that its learning management system has been selected as the winner of the 2009 Best of Information Technology Solutions contest presented by the Associated General Contractors of America’s. Serfwerks played a key role in receiving the award by designing the interface of the learning management system, identifying the award contest, connecting Clyde Companies with representatives of the AGC of America, and writing and designing significant portions of the award application.

“The LMS was to be, not only a platform for all organization develop, a flagship system for the Learning and Development Department and Clyde Companies. We needed it to look good, as if Steve Jobs had just approved of it,” said Tim Newhard, learning technology manager for Clyde Companies. “We knew we could count on Serfwerks to give us that look as well as the guidance and support that enabled us to win this prestigious award.”

The BITS award is a biennial award presented by the AGC of America to promote the implementation of technology to provide practical business solutions within the construction industries. With a national membership of over 32,000, only six members were selected as finalists to present to a panel of judges at the associations annual convention, which was held in San Diego, Calif. Of the six finalists, Clyde Companies was selected as this year’s contest winner.

Serfwerks Designs Interchange 2009 Graphics

January 14, 2009, SALT LAKE CITY—Clyde Companies has contracted with Serfwerks to provide the branding, signage, materials and more for its annual business meeting, Interchange 2009. The event includes approximately 300 members of Clyde Companies’ leadership team and features a full-day of performance review, strategy sessions and instruction from business consultants from various fields.

“The signage and other event materials provided by Serfwerks took our annual business meeting from a friendly get-together to a big-time corporate event that we could be proud of,” said Tim Newhard, Clyde Companies’ learning technology manager.
