Jeff Themm Hired as Serfwerks’ Director of Business Development
April 1, 2009, MURRIETA, CA: Today Serfwerks announced that it has hired Jeff Themm as its director of business development. Looking to improve its efforts in recruiting new business, Serfwerks sought to find a seasoned sales professional who understood the marketing and design process. As a member of Serfwerks’ board of directors, Themm has been involved with Serfwerks on some level since its founding. He also brings more than a decade of sales expertise having worked for companies such as Xerox and Property Pages, the San Jose-based real estate publication.
“We are pleased to have Jeff on board in this capacity,” said Serfwerks’ co-founder Nate Gibby. “Not only is Jeff expert in the business development process, but is also one of the most pleasant and gregarious people you will ever meet. He will be instrumental in our company’s growth.”
Serfwerks Catalyst to AGC Award for Clyde Companies
March 6, 2009, SALT LAKE CITY: Clyde Companies, parent company of several of the largest heavy construction companies in the Intermountain West, announced today that its learning management system has been selected as the winner of the 2009 Best of Information Technology Solutions contest presented by the Associated General Contractors of America’s. Serfwerks played a key role in receiving the award by designing the interface of the learning management system, identifying the award contest, connecting Clyde Companies with representatives of the AGC of America, and writing and designing significant portions of the award application.
“The LMS was to be, not only a platform for all organization develop, a flagship system for the Learning and Development Department and Clyde Companies. We needed it to look good, as if Steve Jobs had just approved of it,” said Tim Newhard, learning technology manager for Clyde Companies. “We knew we could count on Serfwerks to give us that look as well as the guidance and support that enabled us to win this prestigious award.”
The BITS award is a biennial award presented by the AGC of America to promote the implementation of technology to provide practical business solutions within the construction industries. With a national membership of over 32,000, only six members were selected as finalists to present to a panel of judges at the associations annual convention, which was held in San Diego, CA. Of the six finalists, Clyde Companies was selected as this year’s contest winner.

Serfwerks Designs Interchange 2009 Graphics
January 14, 2009, SALT LAKE CITY: Clyde Companies has contracted with Serfwerks to provide the branding, signage, materials and more for its annual business meeting, Interchange 2009. The event includes approximately 300 members of Clyde Companies’ leadership team and features a full-day of performance review, strategy sessions and instruction from business consultants from various fields.
“The signage and other event materials provided by Serfwerks took our annual business meeting from a friendly get-together to a big-time corporate event that we could be proud of,” said Tim Newhard, Clyde Companies’ learning technology manager.
